Today, we baked some Christmas cookies.  Cooper needed to bake a dozen cookies to give to the police officers that did their tour last month.  Also, baking cookies was one of his achievements he needed to complete, so it worked out perfect.

We made chocolate chip cookies with white chocolate swirls.  We also made sugar cookies and used cookie cutters to make them into Christmas shapes.  Then, the kids helped me to use frosting to decorate them.

I have come to accept that I am not good at several things.  I call them “untalents”.  Cookie decorating is definitely one of my untalents.  Candra showed me a photo a while back and I couldn’t help but think of it when I attempted to recreate the beautiful snowflake on the packaging.
